Please can all Club Secretaries note when sending registration forms through the post
to put the correct postage on the envelopes.
A large envelope needs more than a first class stamp no matter what the weight is.
I have had 6 envelopes sent to me in the last week that have the incorrect postage on.
I have then had to travel to the nearest sorting office to claim the forms and pay the fine imposed,
which the clubs will have to pay later. The most important fact is that I am unable to collect these forms on the day,
and may not be able to collect for days.
This week I am unable to collect a package until 23rd August when I return from holiday.
The same goes for recorded deliveries, if I am not in the package goes back to the post office
and it could be days before I can collect.
Please do not send forms by recorded delivery as it could be a lot slower than normal post.
Bulletin Number 4 will be sent after the weeks matches on Saturday 23rd August
as The Registration Secretary Denis Emery will be on holiday from Monday 11th August
until Thursday 21st August. I will be contactable on 07710 714843 in the West Country
for any urgent matters and Graham Down my assistant will deal with any Registration matters
whilst I am away. Any Registrations can be sent or faxed to him during this time.

The Sydenhams Football League Management Committee have just been informed that Bournemouth Poppies Reserves
are being withdrawn from Combination 2 due to lack of playing staff.
All fixtures involving Bournemouth Reserves have been removed.

The United Services Portsmouth Secretary is away on holiday from 2nd to 19th August inclusive

Registration Forms are now online and can be printed off and used.
They should then be sent to The Registration Secretary fully completed and with Your Clubs number in the boxes.
If you are using an old type form with a number on please cross out the printed number
and put your own club number. This is the number you will put down on all result cards.
The initial registrations should be paid for as you send them in at the start of the season by cheques
made out to Sydenhams Football League. Then during the season you will be billed
at the half season mark and then towards the end of the season.

Congratulations to our Final Clubs of the Month winners for April. Brockenhurst won the Premier Division
with 4 wins and 1 defeat in April. Fawley AFC won the Division 1 Club of the month with 3 straight wins in April.

To all new Secretaries Transfers can be completed from the start of the season until 5pm on 1st March 2009.
One Transfer form is all you require this season plus the fee of £20.
Players can have their registrations cancelled by mutual agreement before the season starts only if The Registration Secretary
receives in writing or email confirmation of the agreement from the club he is registered with.
If there is a dispute or the season has commenced then the transfer policy must be used.
A reminder that all clubs must have 15 completed Registration forms with the Registration Secretary for each team
(15 for Reserves plus 15 for first team) 7 days prior to the commencement of each playing season.
This means by Friday 1st August 2008.
